Champagne Charlie's Cocktail Bar
Champagne Charlie was originally a nickname given to French Champagne merchant Charles Heidseick in the 1850's, now a nickname for anyone who lives a Champagne lifestyle, whether it is on a beer budget or not! Lord Carrington, the Governor of N.S.W, after whom The Carriton was named, was well known for drinking Champagne with breakfast every morning and may well have been called a Champagne Charlie?!
Open from 11:00am daily, Champagne Charlie's is the original and best cocktail bar in Katoomba. Offering a selection of traditional and contemporary cocktails, boutique beers and an extensive wine list including a selection of excellent wines from the local region.
Champagne Charlie's offers lunch daily until 4:30pm, unless otherwise indicated on entry. Our excellent Devonshire teas are a perennial favourite, often enjoyed; in winter, in front of The Lounge fire or in summer, in the dappled light of The Piazza.
