Dining at The Carrington Hotel
The Carrington Hotel has dining options for all occasions; celebrating a special event, a casual bar lunch with friends, afternoon tea on The Piazza, a quick catch up over coffee or cocktails in The Lounge, an anniversary dinner with your special someone or last but not least, a casual family meal.
The Grand Dining Room
Featuring soaring columns, lofty gilded ceilings and delightful stained glass, the Grand Dining Room is one of the last Victorian dining rooms still operating as a dining room in Australia. The Grand Dining Room that you marvel at today is almost identical to the orginal built in 1886 but with a few modern additions for comfort and convenience including air conditioning.
The Grand Dining Room offers a seasonal a'la carte menu with an emphasis on fresh ingredients sourced from the Blue Mountains and Central West region of New South Wales. Our Menus are created by Executive Chef, Stefan Klaunzer and his talented team of local and international chefs.

Champagne Charlie's Cocktail Bar
Champagne Charlie was originally the nickname of French Champagne merchant Charles Heidseick in the 1850's. These days it applies to anyone who lives a metropolitan "Champagne lifestyle" enjoying the finer things of life. According to some historical accounts "our" Lord Carrington was affectionaly nicknamed Champagne Charlie due to his penchant for a daily champagne breakfast.
Open from 11:00am daily, Champagne Charlie's is the original and best cocktail bar in Katoomba. Offering a selection of traditional and contemporary cocktails, boutique beers and an extensive wine list including a selection of excellent wines from our local region.
Champagne Charlie's offers lunch daily until 4:30pm, unless otherwise indicated on entry. Our excellent Devonshire teas are a perennial favourite, fireside in The Lounge in winter or on The Piazza soaking up some summer sun.
We also offer a Champagne Charlie's evening menu, Wednesday to Saturday, 6.30 to 8.30pm.
