The Canonbah Bridge vineyard is located in the Warren/Nyngan district of NSW, 600km North West of Sydney. It is the pioneering vineyard in the district, an area classified as the edge of the outback. The district is located at an altitude of 200m above sea level with an arid climate.
The organic vineyard was planted 18 years ago on Shane McLaughlin's family sheep property at Warren, NSW. Shane effectively pioneered a new region for wine. The dry climate and the nearest neighbouring vineyard being a good few hours away, aids the chemical free approach. Canonbah Bridge mainly focuses on Shiraz with minimal yields of 1-2 tonnes / acre. The wines are sold domestically as well as exported to Europe and North America.
